Lessons at Jericho Creek Farms
Lessons in: Halter, Western, Western Dressage, Beginning Dressage, Huntseat, and Therapeutic.
Jericho Creek Farms believes that riding at any age, or ability, should offer a special interaction between the horse and a rider. With proper instruction, riders should have feelings of accomplishment and enjoyment with their horse.
Lessons are one-on-one and tailored to each individual to help them reach their riding goals. All lessons include horse handling, grooming and saddling. Children ages 6 years and older, Adults and Senior Citizens.
If desired students have opportunities to compete at horse shows and participate in virtual horse shows.
We are also offering Equine-Assisted Therapeutic lessons to children and adults with special needs through Horse Power Healing Center (HPHC). Therapeutic lessons are geared toward improving balance and posture, muscle tone, eye and hand coordination, flexibility, range of motion, increased motor skills, longer attention span and focus, improved listening skills, greater self-control, and basic riding skills.

Instructor Wendy Konichek, has over 30 years of experience training all breeds of horses. Her show ring presence includes many Championships in Class A and Dressage and Open show High Points. She has demonstrated in Horse Fairs in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Arkansas.
Through Jericho Creek Farm II, Wendy has been raising quality Morabs, Morgans and Arabians. She holds Equine Breeding certificates from Ohio State University. Wendy is also a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and holds PATH specialty certificates for “Equine Services for Heroes” and “Spinal Cord Injuries.
2022 PATH Region 6 (WI, MN, SD, ND and Canada) Certified Professional Instructor of the Year
In Western Dressage she is Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA) Train the Trainers Graduate and a North American Western Dressage (NAWD) professional member.
INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE LESSONS
$30.00 for 30 minutes for young children
or riders being led on the horse.
$135.00 for a package of six lessons
$35.00 for 1 hour for children 8 – 12 years old
$165.00 for a package of six lessons
$40.00 for 1 hour for Adults and children over 12 yrs.
$195.00 for a package of six lessons
INTRODUCTION TO HORSES Get to know a horse. Learn how to groom, lead and handle a horse. No riding involved. $25.00 for 30 minutes with one horse $40.00 for an hour with two horses
